Ely Cathedral is awesome.  The picture on The Division Bell doesn't quite do it justice.

Walkabout is an "Australian themed" bar.  The only thing Australian about it is it sells beers commonly found on tap back home.  VB and Tooheys New cost the same as Hahn Premium.

You are usually going to get better beer from a small pub rather than a big bar or club.  However, badly treated ale suffers worse than badly treated lager, so if you're going to drink ale, choose your pub wisely.

The best ale I have tried so far is Deuchers I.P.V. from Ye Olde Salutation Inn in Nottingham.  It is best described as a very tasty alcoholic beverage.  'Tis a shame I only got to drink 3/4 of a pint of it.

If a drunk sits down next to you and asks if he can have a sip of your beer, say no BEFORE he scoffs it.

I think I'll go to Birmingham now.
