This changed to a one day tournament this year, as it landed on Australia Day due to scheduling conflicts with other events. There were only 5 mens teams and 3 womens teams. We picked up Neil, Glenn, Ian and Yann from Stout, which helped us immensely. We beat U-Beam convincingly, lost to Manly and I-Beam, then had a close win against Ironbark. We started out down by a couple, but ended up winning 13-10.
A bunch of us stayed Friday and Saturday nights so we could enjoy a bit of a party, and some of us stayed Sunday night as well, so we could have a full Australia Day in Newcastle. It turned a small one day tournament into a solid weekend away.
