236. Longest Day

Great day. We had a crazy draw and were bottom of our pool, but won our first game 6-3 against a Timless Krank. We later came up against a Timful Krank in the quarters and got flogged. We made it to the quarters thanks to an epic last throw off the pull from Ken that Yvo took in the endzone, which have us a draw and 2nd place in the pool. We beat Baker's team in a tight one after the Krank loss, then called off the last game to go home before the epic storm. Then all games were called off because the storm was truly epic. It was very sudden. We got drenched and tried to run to the cars, but got caught on the walkway up from the beach and hid behind trees while wind absolutely belted. I came with Nobu in a GoGet, and our car was a bit smashed up, but the car parked behind us was smashed with a branch through the windscreen into the driver's seat. A couple of hundred metres down the road near the surf lifesaver's club someone died under a tree. Proper mayhem. No frisbee players were hurt as far as I know. There were some amazing photos which show how epic it was. A sort of amazing end to a nice day.
