238. Regionals

I caught a train and bus to Raymond Terrace. It's a bit of a hole and full of derros, but the team vibe was fun. Baker organised another team beer tasting, which was good even though it was entirely Mountain Culture. We had a number of interstaters playing with us this time, including Steve Kassar. Quo were in a pool of teams contending for div 1. We lost to Colony and Krank but beat Manly in a key game to make it into the quarters. Manly had to play a cross over against Fyshwick Unit from the bottom pool to make the quarters. Fyshwick won, but after the game the two teams agreed to strike it as a Manly win on the scores so Manly could go up and Fyshwick played in the lower team quarters. It was a source of major controversy. In the quarters we got destroyed by Fyshwick United, then beat Bench to make it into the game to go to div 1 against I-Beam. At one point we were up about 6-2, then took half 8-5. It was amazing. Then we lost 8 points to 1 in the second half to lose 13-9.
