240. Australian Ultimate Championships Div II

We were undefeated through to the semis against Manly. We'd beaten them a couple of times through the season, but this time they were just too athletic for us. If we'd broken them first, maybe we could have broken their spirits a bit, but they broke first and their confidence was high. It was trading until about half, but our energy waned in the second half and they beat us by a reasonable amount. Then the 3rd place playoff was against Fresh Chilly, with Gak and a couple of other old guys moving down from Phat Chilly. We had beaten them in a close one in the pools, but our top players were a bit tired from the Manly game, and we were making more mistakes. Coming 4th was good, but not medalling was a bit sad. In any case we performed well, and playing at a higher level was great fun. There were a few pool beers and the like, but nothing outrageous.
